Fox Searchlight productions.  When did this happen?  Was it before or after the dot com crash?  Serves me for not paying attention to the credits listing the date.  Wait.  The credits are interesting.  First they’re displayed on plates, then on IDs pulled from a wallet.  Then chapstick?  Up walks the main character, Napoleon Dynamite.  Dynamite he is.  He’s inbred, a loser, looks like he’s flunked the same grade for close to a decade, a hillbilly, a redneck, a southerner and he looks like he’s out from the stix.  Actually, most of the characters, especially the men, have that same look in this movie.  Napoleon actually looks better than most of them.

Pity he acts even dumber than most of them.  While the others are clueless most of the time, he walks around doing his own thing.  Most of the opening 15 minutes were spent following his stupidity.

Hit or a miss.  Maybe worth your look.  It wasn’t special to me.
