Electro Brain has an ugly logo. They also show poor taste in making games. Much like a soccer game they made, this game uses a third person perspective with Mode 7 used as the track. The actual racer can be swapped in the options screen (the HELL?!) from snowboarding to skiing. Yes, this is basically a racing game. The course is just a long stretch of track with a time that must be met to move to the next one. Actual course types are also selected from the options screen. A training mode, free slide or competition mode exist, but they make no difference from what I noticed. There is weird music that plays occasionally, but it sounds like piano music gone drum, then slapped on the SNES. The sound effects used in this game are downright bad or sound terrible. Then there is the horn. That horn sounds like a drum squealing. It is not pleasant to the ears and makes me wish I never tested this game. What about gameplay? The actual character used to race, and it is only one character with no other racers present, even in the competition, races forward much like in a racing game, and BUILDS UP SPEED as it is held, the minute it is released, speed drops. I really did a double take on this. The Mode 7 graphics move faster than they should be, all while the racer can swing sideways at an insanely fast rate. It’s bad, really bad. You may want to actually look at this game it is so bad. This is the worst SNES game I have EVER played. Yozuki’s Drive - -5 |
