Joe Dirt

David Space movie, and it makes quite an introduction.  A nasty beat up sports car, complete with ratty interior, lack of sound proofing and otherwise creature comforts, blazes in.  We have a half naked man, complete with nasty sideburns, lack of facial hair, and a really large mullet.  He symbolizes all that is loser, he also has one of the largest spoilers on the back of his vehicle that I’ve ever seen.

This movie shows how corny it will be real early on.  Joe Dirt has a confrontation with the security guard as he goes to work, the face off ends with Joe screeching his tires to get through the guard rail, and the guard rail chopping off the spoiler.  The security guard has this weird relationship with the rail.  Joe begins his job, gives himself a pep talk, and reveals he is a janitor, a really bad one.  He is pulled onto the main studio of this building, a talk show.   The announcer becomes critical of him and finally asks him about his life story.  The rest of the fifteen minute time frame I watched this movie continued him talking about his life.

It was pretty steady, but I wasn’t laughing at anything.  I really don’t think this movie has a point to watching it.
