Aka the Son of Grease and many such similar titles from the 50s, 60s and 70s. The first Grease needs some warming up to, but it gets enjoyable real quick. This one… they went for bigger and better. There is more songs, there is more singing in groups, and it focuses more on template characters. Some of the characters from the first movie are present, the ones we want to see, such as John Travolta, are not.
In the first five minutes, I grew bored of this movie. The music number wasn’t the same. it felt dead. The characters feel like the 70s turned punk culture. The characters also feel like copies of each other. There is no individuality, despite how it is forced. I went and skipped ahead in the movie to give it the benefit of the doubt.
I wasn’t impressed.
