Originally I got this website as an afterthought. I wanted a domain name and I needed a name to go with my then current messenger name. I chose Yozuki Drive, it sounded edgey and it was what I was all about. Yozuki Drive of course has a few meanings and uses, everything from an energy drink mix, a style of motivation, a type of novel, and the headquarters and front base for all my works.
Aside from serving as my central base on the Internet, Yozuki Drive.com serves a dual role. I like to do a lot of reviewing. While there isn’t much up yet, I hope it will help the newer generation. I’m currently rediscovering all the goods from the 80s, 90s and sometimes the areas distant but very close to them. All in the name of the geek? Yup. With everything becoming commercialized quality is a bit harder to find. So I get the job of sifting through it. I’ll have everything from quick picks for the impatient, to full frontal reviews. Rather than change previous reviews or give full length ones, I think I’ll give reviews in the style I feel like doing at the time. Though, I will try and keep it serious.
What I want the domain to be? I want to improve my communication and writing skills. Who knows, it may include drawing to an extent if I can ever get those skills up and running. Hopefully this domain can teach me a thing or two as well. Otherwise I’ll just use it as writing.
Has the domain had other incarnations? Yes. It was a static website, Joomla, and now it uses Word Press as the backend. And I can say, I’m pleased with Joomla. With the website ever get a following? Here’s hoping.
